Ajahn Nando
Ajahn Nando was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He first encountered the Buddha’s teachings at the age of 15 and felt an immediate and profound connection. In 2006, at the age of 21, he traveled to Thailand and entered Wat Pah Nanachat, The International Forest Monastery.
He took novice ordination in 2007 and received full Bhikkhu ordination the following year, with Luang Por Liem Thitadhammo—current abbot of Wat Nong Pah Pong and successor to the renowned meditation master Ajahn Chah—as his preceptor.
Since his ordination, Ajahn Nando has had the opportunity to train and practice in forest monasteries around the world under renowned meditation masters such as Ajahn Anan at Wat Marp Jan, Luang Por Piak at Wat Pah Cittabhavana, and Luang Por Bun-Deet at Wat Tham Seang Dham.
Ajahn Nando continues to share the Dhamma with dedication, rooted in a deep commitment to the monastic path and the living tradition of Theravāda Buddhism.
He is currently living in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with the aspiration to establish a forest monastery rooted in the Thai Forest Tradition.
